Denmark - are you kidding me?

After Spain and France, a third nation has completed their dossier in order to organize the Basketball World Championships in 2014: Denmark.

What may sound like a joke is absolutely true. In a country that is by far not known for being a true European basketball force, it is some kind of huge deal to organize an event of global nature in a sport that may only be considered as very minor.

But you never know what will happen. There is still enough time for other countries to enter their candidature for the organization. So as we have three European already, we might see entering some nations from other continents too.

So what are the advantages that could turn in favor of Denmark? Apart from being very close to Lithuania, there might only be one.
