Breaking News: Marco Belinelli heads back home

We had already a little stint of the rumors that are going around of a possible return of Marco Belinelli to Europe. But we could not expect that this would be so concrete already.
We heard from several sources that Montepaschi Siena is very interested in Marco Belinelli and even tries to do everything to get him with the team for tonight’s Euroleague Playoff game against Fenerbahce. This would of course be a huge addition for the Italian team that would welcome one of the best shooters from the continent.
We tried to get in contact with the team and the Euroleague as normally no further additions to the roster can be made right now. Both organizations went for a no comment or did not answer our requests. And as you know that a “no answer” means that there is no denial, we think that the chances of seeing Marco tonight in the Pala Mens Sana are quite big.
His last game with the Warriors is already more than 24hrs behind, so even the trip back to Italy should be any problem. We just have to find out how the Italian team has handled the Transfer regulation issues with the Euroleague. We will keep you updated.
If EL allows Siena to add him then it would be totally ridiculous decision. Not that I would not like him to see play basketball where he is actually good at, but the problem is that deadline has passed and if they make an exception then you pretty much have to make exception for everyone else in the business…

Ok, I got it… Today in some countries, it’s joke’s day (or however you call it)… In Spain we celebrate it on December 28th… It took me time to understand why this news appeared :-p
April fools or for real? Either way that would be the best for anybody who’s included in Marco’s life; both him and the Warriors, he could develop more over here and then return in a couple of years maybe :D..
