As the Euroleague is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the European club competition, a selection process designated 50 players that marked the European competition. I will come back to their career and also try to find out what these guys are doing now.
After having already presented the fan election part of this celebration, I will now talk about the different players that have retired and try to find out what they are doing actually. For some of them, this will probably be quite difficult, so if you as a reader have some info, feel free to post your name here in the comments and I will contact you.
In my first post, I will talk about the Slovenian SG Ivo Daneu. And then in irregular posts, I will come back to the careers and actual life of the greatest players of the European Club competition.

Sergei Belov was the coach of Russian NT and CSKA (I think) in the 90′s
Dejan Bodiroga: GM of Roma.
Predrag Danilovic: I think i once read he is in the Partizan board nowadays, maybe even President.
Mike D’Antoni: Isn’t he the Phoenix Suns coach?
Vlade Divac has a boutique in Los Angeles where he sells replicas of famous-brands women’s handbags.
Sasha Djordjevic was a candidate for the Serbia NT coach seat.
Tyus Edney is still playing somewhere, Russia i think.
Panagiotis Fassoulas was elected as a member of the Greek Parliament with the Socialist Party and later on quit his seat to win the elections and become the mayor of Piraeus (Olympiakos home-town).
Nikos Galis runs some basketball camps in Northern Greece and recently had his first child born.
Dusko Ivanovic: Barca coach. All players hate him.
Velimir Perasovic: Recently rejected an offer from AEK to become their coach.
Antoine Rigaudeau: Is one of the candidates to take over France NT. I think he is the GM of a French team nowadays.
Johnny Rogers: Valencia GM.
Vladimir Tkachenko: He is a taxi driver in Moscow trying to make a living.
Alexander Volkov: President of the Ukrainian basketball federation.
Panagiotis Yannakis: Greece NT coach.
Jure Zdovc: coaches some Greek clubs 2 seasons ago. Dunno now.
Sabonis is the chairman of Zalgiris, has grounded a b-ball school.
