An update to this list would be really apt at this stage in the season. :-)

I waited a little bit in answering....

..unfortunately the past sunday derby Virtus-Fortitudo gave my opinion on Gordon much more credit: maybe the worst of the season.

Now that I'm watching Live FMC-Fortitudo I stress my idea that Jamont is not a playmaker (but playing 2 spots would be enough to satisfy me)... and my hope to see him under coach Repesa could become true now that Jasmin left Rome....

I keep my finger cross to realize that... 'cause I hope Francesco Cappelletti (and Fortitudo) is right gambling on Jamont!!!!

@ Bobbo

True, I've made some confusion. However, he spent two years without playing, so think what could represent two years lost in a whole career: not only for the money, but also for the upgrade. He is already 25-year old and he's at his first professional experience, in a mid-level Italian team. A shooter such as this, at this age, should have been in a mid-level Euroleague team!

@ Radallo

Unfortunately, this article has been published the day after Fortitudo-Pamesa. I've also seen that game, and I admit Gordon hasn't played as he usually does here in Italy. But believe me, this player could climb many stairs in Europe. He's only 21, and he can does everything, playing three spots and leading a team rich of talent as Fortitudo is. I gamble on him

Jaycee Carroll did not spend the last two years on a Mormon mission. He spent the last four years at Utah State. For two years, between high school and college, he went to Chile on a Mormon mission...not the reverse.

Last summer, he played for the Nets (two summer leagues) and the Raptors (one summer league), doing quite well for the Nets, poorly for the Raptors.

Great insight. Don't follow Euroleague as closely as I should, but it's great to get a status update on these guys. What's Sean Banks up to these days?

I saw jesterday match Fortitudo-Pamesa

..despite I love Jamont Gordon, DD is some step higher than him.

He's a complete player, physically strong with intense difense.. but he's not still able to take advantage of his skill against Eurpoean defense, he's missing a lot of free throws and ASS/TO ratio has to be improved a lot. Moreover, he's not able to change the game tempo.

Anyway... he's 21!!!! (maybe a season under coach Repesa or Tanjevic would be perfect for him!)

"He’s a kind of black Diamantidis."

That is a really interesting comment. I have never seen or heard of Jamont Gordon but the comment is interesting because American sportswriters seem absolutely terrified to compare black and white players. I have no idea if your comparison is accurate, but it's refreshing to see that this silly mental racial barrier doesn't exist everywhere.
