the greek playoffs will show.. greek basketball really needs sopho to do well, but apparently he has trouble keeping it together. maybe a few years in a cold nba city without the clubs of athens could help his work-ethic.

He was drafted in 2003, with I believe the 34th pick by the Clippers. Does anyone know how he’s done? Has he shed any weight? If he ever got into shape (he’s 6′10″ with shoes on, so I’d say if he were 6′10″ 285 lbs./130 kilos) he’d be an All-Star.

Though strictly speaking outside of the confines you set for this piece, Americans should also take note of familiar face on Olympiacos: Sophocles Schortsanitis, the monster (Baby Shaq my ass) in the 2006 World Championships. I still have nightmares; i’m sure LeBron and Yao do, too…
