Blogger Award : We have a new champion

Until 2 weeks ago, we did not really bother to have a look at Gabe Muoneke’s blog. That was a terrible mistake… We’re glad Tau Vitoria gave us a chance to fix all that.

Yeah life is hard. One day you’re on top of the blogging world and the other people don’t remember your name. That’s what happens to this American forward that plays for this French team. Just kidding Adam Hess, we still dig the crazy stories you put on your blog. But you know… Thing is you don’t speak any African dialect…

On top of French, Spanish and English just like Tau Vitoria power forward Gabe Muoneke does. I just read a couple of posts from Gabe’s blog on Hoopshype and it made me hungry for more ! He has this lust for life that only people who survived serious troubles seem to have.

As Muoneke tells it, he almost had to put an end to his career when he suffered a brutal injury on his quad. He also puts into words what happened at the last African Championships. How he called his wife to say he loved her like he was aboard a plane hijacked by terrorists.

Gabe seems like a sensible guy who likes to analyse things and write way too long blog entries that only people like me seem to read till the end. I also learnt browsing around that he had a special interest in drawing . And I wasn’t very surprised.

But guys, make no mistake. When on the court, Muoneke’s no softy. He had 16 points in 16 minutes for his first Euroleague game in front of his new fans. Can’t wait to see him play against Siena. The match-up with Eze and Sato might be worth a cent or two.

I honestly can’t wait to read the next post. This world needs more West African proverbs about pissing in the wind.
