Nicknames
January 20, 2008
They are a first step to recognition. Before the shoe deals and the All-Star appearances, an official nickname.
I saw this brilliant post on Str8hoops and had to talk about it. It is a very long list of official NBA nicknames. I thought I’d know them all but well I was wrong…
Did you know that Joakim Noah was called Dr No ? Sarunas Jasikevicius, Jazzy Cabbages ? Oleksiy Pecherov, The White Hole ? Or Nenad Krstic, Ballistic Krstic ?
We need nicknames for our Euroleague superstars ! If you know some of them or just found a nickname that would sound cool, feel free to comment !
