Will Bynum found the G Spot
January 6, 2008 by Julien
As you can see, one of my good resolutions for 2008 was finding better headlines. Back to Will Bynum, his good resolutions did not include not running over 22-year-old men in front of the G Spot night club in Tel Aviv.
Maccabi’s point guard was celebrating his 25th birthday yesterday in Tel Aviv when a little fight broke off. After he left the infamous G Spot (ok, I’ll stop now, I promise), Bynum escaped running on a man on the way. 3 times… As you can read in this report from the Jerusalem Post.
Bynum will remain arrested until Sunday 5 pm, miss Sunday’s Israeli League game and - even though the man he ran over was moderately injured - could face some prison charges in the future… The more I look at it the more I think Bynum would make a perfect Indiana Pacer…

Heard some Ethiopians where chasing him with knives…
[...] Crazy like Will Bynum, the former Georgia Tech superstar, who celebrated his 25th birthday in an Israeli jail. He reportedly ran over a man – 3 times – as he tried to escape from a few tough guys outside a club called the G Spot. And if you think we’re not man enough to crack a good old dirty joke, here is the infamous proof. [...]
the Bynum story is far more interesting. just to add few things:
1. maccabi’s Shimon Mizrahi is a leading traffic accidents attorny in israel. he’s somewhere around the top 5 attornys in the field. he represented Bynum (which raises other ethical questions).
2. this group of guys are member of what is commonly called in israel “the black hebrews”. this is some cult of afro-americans (not originated in ethiopia as most of “black” israelis are). they claim to have jewish origins but it was never proven afaik. they came to israel at the order of their leader and resided in the southern town of Dimona (where we have the ahhmm-ahhmm “textile factory” and the birth place for liverpool football player Yossi Benayon). they are strict vegetrians and have all sorts of other customs.
3. bynum was allowed to travel with the team to croatia and he’ll require approval for each away game (he’ll probably get all).
well it’s getting old news (actually he’s still facing charges) but i hope you find it interesting.
[...] closed and all charges on him have been dropped has been reported by eurobasket.com. Ball in Europe reported about his case in January when he was accused of being involved in a fight outside a Tel Aviv [...]
