I’ve really been into the NIKEiD Fantasy Challenge lately. But this week makes me think about going ahead with it or not. Game day isn’t even over (at the moment I write these lines), and I already know that this will be my worst score ever. After it started so well on Tuesday, Wednesday was a complete disaster and Thursday was no better.
So I’m pretty happy to have spent my evening with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (yes, I do have a private life outside Basketball), even if the Oompa-Loompas reminded me of the performance of some of my fantasy players. And speaking of Tim Burton, “Jack’s Lament” from the Nightmare before Christmas is my favorite song of the night:
PS: Dave Hein has just informed me that J.R. Holden will be back next week.

Wednesday was good. Thursday was shit :/
Wednesday was a bad day, Thursday was ok, even great a bit
Well, I had a good week finally
.. 195.5, 80th overall, I didn’t really expect to do that well. I haven’t really been following fantasy challenge this year, didn’t any changes a couple weeks, but I was lucky to pick good players at the last minute on tuesday ..
I feel more inspired now, I will follow it more closely
I would have been watching Charlie & the Chocolate Factory too!!!
Not only beacuse of Fantasy Challenge results (not so bad if you think that my team scored 163.1 with Navarro, Rakocevic & Splitter in this week roster…
…but especially because I was looking at DKV-Lottomatica … an open and beautiful game that couldn’t see its results decided by the players on the field..
but wasted by the referee decision on flagrant fouls… Last call by PITSILKAS was absolutely disappointing, not necessary at all!! It reminded me last year beautiful show between Real-AXA FCB during game 12 of the regular season.. where an awful call by the referee (2 of them Greek… again) sealed the victory for Real. The worst thing is that this year such calls are supported by the new rules..
Both DKV and last year Real would have probably get the W anyway… with no need to waste the show by the referees. Argh!
I saw the end of that match too, and the refs really did not have to give that intentional foul .. DKV would have won anyway, but it’s bad when the refs have to decide a game – it was a bad call…
