Dario from basketbalcentral.it just sent me an email on Rawle Marshall, who plays for Cibona and also in the Euroleague.
Rawle got into a fight in a domestic league game against Split.
These fights of Americans have happened very often in recent weeks. I had to check immediately if Rawle is also from Arizona, as are his fight buddies Loren Woods and Joseph Blair, but thank god he is not: Rawle went to Oakland University, although he had a one-year contract with the Dallas Mavericks.
Here is the video evidence, thanks to Dario:

Hello,
These players plays in countries where racism is present. They are here for one or two years, they do not speak the local language, they must feel isolated and in a not 100 % friendly environment, far from their friends and relatives…I think this can explain the fact they are nervous.
In addition, many eastern teams are facing money problems and many players are not paid in Lithuania, Ukraine, Russia, Croatia maybe so that makes them more nervous I think.
Also in the same category we have the player we love : DC Dejuan Collins.
He was recently fired by Rostov because he was getting alcoholic, according to lithuanian press.
When somebody becomes alcoholic it means that something is going wrong.
wrong? it’s winter and cold, for a lot of people in cold counties that is wrong enough, especially if you have never seen such weather before and feel alone and isolated etc because you’re somewhere on the map…
yes in all the countries the players play in they are having money problems..Imagine this..you travel thousands of miles away from home to a team that calls YOU and PROMISES you will get x amount of dollars. You get there..they say…ummmmm your money is gonna be 2months late..BUT we will still put ALL the pressure on you to perform at your best and be a model citizen about it!!!! Knowing the state of things back in the usa..is their mortgage company gonna say its ok..you can pay your mortgage late this month cause your team is late??? Heck no they still want their money ontime. So when these players are on the court they are already pressured by their teams.and when things get edgy somtimes emotions boil over!
I’m a nice guy, but I’m not an American, though. But it was nice when I was there, back in the days in Los Angeles.
Becoming an alcoholic in Russia means that you are adjusting nicely to the local culture
what’s wrong with being an alcoholic anyways, in the US ou can’t drink until 21 and still all nba youngsters do is get into trouble. responsible young european alcoholics do not seem to get into that many fights. maybe they’re busy refilling their mini bar and have no time for fights…..maby e the americans are just not used to the vodka. strong stuff if all you know is bud light… this discussion is quickly becoming absurd, by the way, I love it.
Ukraine is weak!
Listen I know Rawle, He has been fighting since highschool. Please don’t make accuses for him, he is a grown man and needs to be able to control himself. It has nothing to do with the cold or anything else. I played in Austria for 2 years I should have been fighting everyday playing in that horrible league but I didn’t.
