Florida State University SG/SF Deividas Dulkys is no stranger to high-pressure NCAA basketball, having gained experience in March Madness last season with his university team; the Lithuanian showed that coolness in the clutch yesterday, with his 15th and 16th points of the game coming with 3.9 seconds on the clock.

Despite some distraction techniques – notes Associated Press writer Paul Newbury, “[Kendall] Marshall appeared to try a bit of gamesmanship as Deividas Dulkys went to the line for another 1-and-1 with 3.9 seconds to go. The guard ran in to scream instructions to his teammates just as the Florida State player was buckling his knees to put up the first attempt. Nothing but net. Dulkys made the second one, too…”

And thus did Dulkys extend FSU’s lead to 85-82, ultimately the final score of the ACC championship match. The win marks the first-ever ACC title for the school. With the no. 3 spot in the East bracket given to Dulkys’ team, they’ll get #14 St. Bonaventure on Friday.

Finally, a highlight clip! Here’s a clip of Dulkys’ career-high 32 points – including eight three-pointers – against the same North Carolina team in mid-January
