P-Mac is back

December 18, 2007

You may know T-Mac but do you know P-Mac? Even if you don’t know, he signed with the French team Hyères-Toulon as it has been revealed today. And this is an amazing addition for the French team.

So P-Mac, who are we talking about. Just check this or this. So you may have recognized him, I am talking about Paul McPherson. The Chicago native was once considered as one of the top talents in the United States. Phenomenal physical skills made him a top prospect but he did not get drafted out of his college career at DePaul.

However, McPherson joined the Phoenix Suns Summer League team after the Draft 2000 and also signed with the team from Arizona. But it all turned out bad in January when McPherson got traded to Golden State for Vinny Del Negro, which made McPherson think “I couldn’t understand it, I was so f***ing mad. They traded me and Corie Blount for Vinny Del Negro. I was like, ‘Get the f*** out of here…Vinny Del Negro!?'”

After his NBA career, McPherson made himself a name also by participating at the Nike Battleground 1-on-1 Tournaments where he was a regular participant of the Finals. But his career then bounced again as he signed for Reggio Emilia in Italy and later for TDShop Livorno where he always became a crowd favorite because of his rim rocking plays. And after a blank season 2006-2007 due to a cut by AEK Athens after the training camp, McPherson is now back with Hyères-Toulon in France where he replaces Silas Mills. And as Christmas is arriving, here is another gift for all the high-flying action lovers.

Lots of fun coming in Toulon.
I hope that the LNB will promote him directly to the Dunk Contest of the 29th December All-Star Game.
