A Hairdresser's nightmare

September 28, 2007

Shaun Stonerook is a decent Euroleague player for Montepaschi Siena. After his first season in 2005-2006, where he averaged 4.5ppg and 6.3rpg, he is now back in the top European club competition. But most fans don’t remember his hard working effort on the court, they still think on the worst haircut ever worn by a person living in Italy.

I must admit, that a haircut does not make you a better basketball player, but when you check out Shaun’s official Euroleague profile, you may think that he did not come directly from the Barber shop to the photo studio. Ok, it can get even worse when you go back to his old days in Cantu, but at least you could say that the young US boy did not know how important the look is in Italy. Going back even further, to his NCAA time with Ohio University, Stonerook was not really known either for being extravagant in the choice of his haircuts.

Well, why am I talking about this? In fact, when I was watching the Rugby World Cup (World Cup is probably not the correct definition for that competition but whatever) that is going on these days in France, I saw this young man playing for Tonga and doing a hell of a job, a little bit in the same way Shaun Stonerook is working his butt off for Siena. You may have no idea about rugby but when you check out this recent picture of Finau Maka, the Rugby player I am talking about, you will understand why I was thinking on Shaun watching the Tonga Rugby Team.

So Shaun, if you read this post, try to get in touch with Finau as soon as possible and ask him the address of his barbershop urgently. You will see that also a nice haircut can do magical things.
