ALBA Berlin wants to sign Nowitzki

October 17, 2007

At least, this is the title of an article I found today on the German website spox.com. So I had to check it because this sounds somehow incredible.

And in fact, the article is just pure fantasy. The author quotes ALBA Berlin boss Axel Schweitzer who says that signing Dirk Nowitzki to their German top team would be a great addition. Of course, they know that Dirk still has a contract until 2011, but they can imagine to bring him back to Germany after.

Of course, I think every European team would like to sign such a quality player after his NBA career. So it is an evidence that bringing back Nowitzki to a German team would be something nice for the German league and for the Berlin team. But why to put that down in article?
