Basket and the City 1,2 and 3

October 18, 2007

No, this is not Jay-Z’s new song for “American Gangster”. Since I was able to spend one year in France and follow women’s basketball there closely I remember the advertisement they made for their opening tournament (all teams meet in one place and play the first game day on that weekend – pretty common in Europe) and I was like – wow – I am gonna watch some games!
I will show you the ads for the last three years that Julien sent me today because I am sure not everybody in Europe or the US has seen them and believe me you will like them!

In the email where Julien sent me the pictures he also mentioned that some girls that actually play in the french women’s first division (LFB) have been complaining that they never take real basketball players – so in case you ask yourself – like I did – if these girls are active players, No they aren’t. I f you remember – you have to come to Italy to see the Miss Italia play basketball! But here you go – enjoy.
