Team Britain roster released for 2012 Olympic Games

July 5, 2012

With Olympic team rosters due in to officials today, BallinEurope will attempt to keep up with the announcements and such. First up, head coach Chris Finch submitted his final 12 for Great Britain. And the side consists of:

You know Pops'll be there

Kieron Archara, (Manresa)
Robert Archibald (Zaragoza)
Eric Boateng (Peristeri)
Dan Clark (Estudiantes)
Luol Deng (Chicago Bulls)
Joel Freeland (Unicaja Malaga)
Kyle Johnson (Apoel)
Andrew Lawrence (College of Charleston)
Mike Lenzly (CEZ Nymburk)
Pops Mensah-Bonsu (Beşiktaş JK)
Nate Reinking (Sheffield Sharks)
Andrew Sullivan (Leicester Riders)

Notes: Ben Gordon (Charlotte Bobcats) will not suit up for Team Britain; Robert Archibald has reportedly delayed his retirement to participate in the 2012 London Games; at least one source says that Ogo Adegboye (Apoel) was the unlucky 13th man; Deng is still suffering a thumb injury; BiE’s a tiny bit surprised to see promising prospect Devon von Oostrum (Bàsquet Tarragona 2017) left out…
