Dates for the future

November 15, 2007

Every summer, FIBA Europe organizes all kind of European Championships for youth team. This week have been released the official dates and cities where these tournaments will be played.

The most interesting tournament will probably be played in Amaliada with the U18 Tournament of the Division A. At that age, you can recognize already at best who are the players that will grow into future stars. The city of Amaliada was already the host of the U18 tournament two years ago, which saw the Gold Medal win for France and a MVP in the person of Nicolas Batum. However, that tournament was not reminded in only positive ways by Luis Fernandez who covered it for Draftexpress.

Personally, I will most likely be present at some of these events in order to cover the tournaments. Unfortunately, most of the locations are pretty difficult to reach for me, so I will have to see where I will pass my summer vacation 😉
