Euroleague 1-on-1 tournament – the scores

March 25, 2008

euroleague one on one tournamentWith the start of a new week we want to let you know about the winners of the first round of our BallinEurope Euroleague one-on-one tournament. I was really excited to count the scores of each match up and only feel bad for Kerem Gonlum. Check out the scores and you will see why. For those who missed the first round:

We are doing a one-on-one tournament between all Euroleague players. In the first round we gave you the two best players of each Euroleague Top16 team and you decided who will win the match up by adding your comment. A total of 17 people voted last time which was great, but we hope to get even more people this time. Since we also want to end the one-on-one season with a special prize our BallinEurope designer Matt Dyck will design a BallinEurope guy vs. the 1-on-1 winner – limited edition – only 10 shirts will be produced while the actual Euroleague player will get one.

Lynn Greer vs.Theodoros Papaloukas 11-6
Marc Jackson vs. Daniel Santiago 12-5
Michael Batiste vs. Jordi Trias 14-3
Dimitris Diamantidis vs. Jaka Lakovic 12-5
Louis Bullock vs. Ibrahim Jaaber 12-5
Esteban Batista vs. Erazem Lorbek 5-12
Willie Solomon vs. DeJuan Collins 12-5
Omer Asik vs. Mamadou N’Diaye 7-10
Nikola Pekovic vs. Ksistof Lavrinovic 12-5
Milt Palacio vs. Romain Sato 8-9
Bracey Wright vs. Hollis Price 4-13
Jeremiah Massey vs. Kenan Bayramovic 15-2
Felipe Reyes vs. Kerem Gonlum 17-0
Terence Morris vs. Andre Hutson 12-5
Zoran Planinic vs. Ramunas Siskauskas 3-14
Tiago Spliter vs. Marcus Haislip 9-8

In case you are mad now that Haislip and Palacio did not make it – or just lost by one point – say thanks to Yarone Arbel. He voted last and decided these two match ups.

What do the scores mean? Well it simply means that we have the following players in the next round:

Lynn Greer, Marc Jackson, Michael Batiste, Dimitris Diamantidis, Louis Bullock, Erazem Lorbek, Willie Solomon, Mamadou N’Diaye, Nikola Pekovic, Romain Sato, Hollis Price, Jeremiah Massey, Felipe Reyes,Terence Morris, Ramunas Siskauskas and Tiago Spliter.

The new match ups will be announced tomorrow.
