Madrid hosted a crazy shooting night

February 15, 2008

Some people may think that the game between Real Madrid and Zalgiris was a huge three point festival. But they were completely wrong because the main event took place during halftime.
The contest where you can earn you one Million Euro just by making some free throws is probably the best ever competition organized by the Euroleague. However, to participate you have to sign up for a Euroleague TV package and hope to get selected or being a random visitor of the arena where it is taking place.

What was funny though was the participants in the first competition in Madrid. Economou, Navarro… Were these the former Euroleague players or what? Is the Euroleague doing for some crazy moves by flying in some former glories in order to win the prize money from the Betting company and use it to buy new servers? We don’t know it.

At least the fantastic comments make you think that you have just watched the NBA three point contest with Larry Bird making all his attempts. And the commentator talking about becoming a millionaire reminds me of the tape played in Ryanair planes for their fantastic prizes to be won at their tombola.

I can’t wait for the next episode of Euroleague wants to be a millionaire.
