Monday’s cigarettes

March 23, 2009

Monday morning, it’s time for the cigarettes that light up your week, one that will mark the start of the Euroleague quarterfinals.

  • Former UConn Husky and German Bundesliga center Souleyman Wane is now working as French teacher at Haverhill High School and still plays in the faculty basketball team.
  • Taquan Dean hits 10 three pointers.
  • Ricoh Manresa beats Barcelona after four overtimes.
  • Alexis Ajinca dunks on Rod Benson and Ajinca gets dunked on back by Benson. No this is not the French League, but rather the D-League.
  • Partizan Belgrade, Cibona Zagreb, Hemofarm Vrsac and Crvena Zvezda qualified for the Adriatic League Final Four that will be played from in Belgrade Arena April 16th to 18th.
  • George Eddy comes back to the Theatrics surrounding the French basketball national team.
  • Thomas van den Spiegel reveals that Olympiacos is the team that Real Madrid wanted to meet in the Euroleague quarterfinals.
