Morning Eurohoops news (videos, mainly, really): December 5

December 5, 2009

How about a few videos to start your weekend? Ball in Europe runs a (mostly) video version of the news this morning, with top plays from Spain, parts throughout Europe, and Washington. Add in a little bombast from France and one American item (don’t worry; it’s short) and it’s … a good way to spend several minutes.

Read (and watch) on!

• Here’s your Euroleague Top 10 plays of the week (as presented by Kreta World Basket):

• And the ACB’s top five:

• France is getting hyped at in advance of the LNB All-Star Game on December 30:

• The NBA speculates on last night’s Atlanta Hawks-New York Knicks game: Could Josh Smith’s ejection – and possibly a rare Knicks back-to-back win – have been prevented had Danilo Gallinari played? Incidentally, on the Knick from Italia, Francesco Cappelletti commented, “What a pity that the next two days after BallinEurope published the story [on his maladaptation to NBA-style ball] … Gallinari scored 20 and 27 points.”

Nah, man, not a pity. Call it the BallinEurope reverse curse! We may have just revitalized the man’s career! Though that “sore right forearm” business *does* seem a bit suspicious…

• Finally, staying in the NBA, here’s Hedo contributing the game winner (after missing, it must be said, a similar shot to win at the buzzer in the fourth quarter) for the Toronto Raptors over the Washington Wizards:
