Quai54: The streetball event in France

Last weekend, Paris hosted one of the biggest and most important streetball events in Europe: Quai54. The tournament features players from as high as the NBA level and is also the place for one of the most amazing slam dunk contests in the world.

The Final in this year’s tournament featured the winners from last year, a team from New York, against a reunion of the some of the best French streetball players. Just to give you a few names: Thierry Zig, Sacha Giffa, Ali Traoré and Steed Tchicamboud. Names that you have seen on the highest French professional level already and even in the Euroleague.

And it was this French team that managed to beat the US boys in the final this year behind the great performances from new SLUC Nancy/Euroleague player Tchicamboud, who earned the event’s MVP trophy.

But for some people, the main attraction is the slam dunk event. This year, organizers discovered a new kid on the block that destroyed any of the former winners: Kevin “Golden Child” Kemp is his name and check out the video below to see what he can do with the basketball…
