“Say it ain’t so, Vassilis!” Report says Spanoulis could sign with CSKA Moscow

May 26, 2013

Spanoulis: From Reds to Red Army?

No, really. Man-in-the-know Emiliano Carchia of Sportando this morning reports that two-time Euroleague champion Vassilis Spanoulis, with his Olympiacos contract expiring in June, has been receiving overtures from a couple of top European clubs, but most especially from the team he’s helped eliminate from the EL playoffs two years running: CSKA Moscow.

To no one’s surprise, Sportando reports that CSKA management is already looking at some serious roster rebuilding for 2013-14, but Spanoulis-to-Moscow would be a bit jarring, in BallinEurope’s opinion.

BiE also wonders about Kyle Hines, whose term with the Reds is also up at season’s end and is represented by the same agency as Spanoulis…

No NBA teams? But the Euroleague Nazi starts a yearly rumor that NBA teams are after V-Span. From the Heat to the Raptors to the Sixers just recently. If Span is so good, why are there no NBA teams offering anything at all?

Cause its to early with the play offs beeing decided all over he world and thats not how smart GM’s act..anouncing interest in a player early as that only results into overblowed amounts of money needed to conclude a transfer if two or more teams are involved..highprofile transfers like that are negotiated far away from the cameras and media and announced when everything is said and done..u know that, come on…

Okay, let’s see. So far, no NBA rumors about V-Span. Boy, I really hope he moves to the NBA. So much intrigue, story lines, and debates will surely be here on this site, and my other favorite Inside Hoops. Move to the Big League(as BiE likes to call the NBA), V-Span and let’s get this over with!
