Very early NBA betting outlook

July 21, 2016

We don’t even know the fixtures yet but it’s never too early to look at the odds for next season in the NBA.

It’s not even August, we don’t know the fixtures yet, but this corner always has a hankering for a wager or three so the easiest corner to look at early is the NBA where free agency has seen its biggest moves play out.

The headline play, in a shock to no-one, was the move of Kevin Durant to the Golden State Warriors. Putting him alongside Klay Thompson, Steph Curry, Andre Igoudala, and Zaza ‘Game 7 baby‘ Pachulia is a potent mix for a team looking to reclaim the NBA title. As an outright to win it all, 20/23 looks a little tight as I don’t expect that price to move much between now and next year’s NBA Finals. Instead, take them at 4/7 to win the Western Conference. That price is almost guaranteed to shorten by spring.

For guaranteed value, play free slot machines at Royal Vegas casino. With up to $1,200 in free bonuses when you sign up, that’s winning value across every kind of slot.

The Eastern Conference has two value plays that just can’t be ignored. At 10/11 to win the conference, the Cavs are a shoo-in barring an injury to LeBron James. The King is the guarantee of making it to the biggest game of them all and getting near evens on this Cleveland side is a bargain but it’s not the biggest bargain in the East.

That honour goes to the Boston Celtics who are second favourites to win the East but are way, way, out at 6/1. With a strengthened line-up and a strong chance of adding another big piece around the trade deadline, the Celtics are too good a price to ignore. Take Boston and Cleveland now, that will allow you to cash in the Celtics ahead of the conference finals and potentially have massive wriggle room before the NBA Finals.
