What I've heard

November 23, 2007

Here are some of the latest signing rumors I have heard these days.

I spoke already about Roanne who wants to sign Aaron Harper and Stephane Lasme. About the last one, the coach from Roanne was pretty clear in the after game press conference, even if he did not mention a name.

If you wanna go in the NBA, and if that’s all what you want, you can explain these guys that the Euroleague is a great showcase, the best league in Europe, but then they prefer to sign for 2000 USD in the NBDL, we can’t do anything.

So Lasme will not sign with Roanne, but Aaron Harper gave some signs of living and sent a mail with a proposition to Roanne. So it is possible to see him back in France in the next days.

A rumor that came up is the possibility to see Earl Boykins sign with Lietuvos Rytas. As Robets Stelmahers is still absent, the Lithuanians want to have an alternative to Hollis Price. But as I said, it is only a rumor and we are far away from having a confirmation about this.

Olivier Cousin, the coach from Pau-Orthez had to leave after their losing streak. The assistant Laurent Mopsius takes over the team until the end of the season and led it to a win tonight against Clermont. But if that will change a team that has so much trouble is doubtful.

It seems that a whole new generation of American wannabees, ‘slaves’, is emerging… So sad really…

Wow, Boykins would be a great addition for Rytas. I already dream a Boykins Vs Pellin fight to death, if they meet in Euroleague that is.

You forgot some though. Milos Vujanic is probably signing his contract with Dynamo tomorrow. Gurovic might facethe exit in Prokom, combine that with the fact that Olympiakos is eager to sign a Greek small forward and you can see the first big in-season transfer.

Vujanic to Dynamo is official. It’s on their website though not translated into English yet. 1 year deal, he’s coming to Moscow tomorrow.

It’s not just a rumour. Rytas is really negotiating with Boykins.
