Uleb Cup Fantasy league canceled

November 7, 2007

With the Uleb Cup start earlier this week the organization also offered a Fantasy challenge. But first of all what is the Uleb cup and why might it be interesting? The ULEB Cup league in is the second-caliber professional basketball league in Europe, with teams from national leagues joined in ULEB (Basketball European Leagues Union), that haven’t qualified for the Euroleague.

So you might find some good prospects in there as well as a chance for some players to show off their skills for Euroleague team. I would compare it to the NBDL in the US.

So if you wanted to see if you have scouting skills you would want to play that Uleb Cup Fantasy league, right? But as an official press release tell us Due to technical difficulties, the ULEB Cup Fab Five Challenge cannot be launched as expected. We apologize to the fans who registered teams.

What happened? Don’t they probably use the Euroleague fantasy system? I don’t know – but sounds strange. Thanks to “heinnews” for the tip!

You could play it with your Euroleague Fantasy username but the system was different. You could pick 5 players from 5 ‘performance ranges’ without prices…

There is another ULEB Fantasy around anyway…

The rules are confusing….mostly for people (like me) with a weak level in English.
