BiE’s editor takes the ice bucket challenge, nominates Basketball Ireland boss

August 26, 2014

BiE-Ice-bucket
Well it had to happen. Watch me dunk a bucket of water with around 2kg of ice in it over my head. The €22 donation goes to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association. For Irish readers, donate €22 because the IMNDA get some extra tax break when you go up to that level.

And now it’s time to get wet.

Apologies for the sudden ending, I said something witty but my flatmate recoiled in horror and pressed stop as the ice flew at him…ok slid gently but I’m trying to be kind to him.

Thanks to Niall and Leanna for challenging me. This is BiE so there has to be at least one hoops related nominee so that’s Bernard O’Byrne the chief executive of Basketball Ireland. I also nominate Karl Purdy who runs my local coffee shop and Cathal Ennis from my office because a whole lotta people want to see this happen to him.
