Unicaja extends Joseph Gomis

July 19, 2009

The Unicaja official website is reporting that the club has reached an agreement with Joseph Gomis on a new two-year deal. Gomis re-ups with Unicaja for the 2009/10 season with an option on 2010/11.

Gomis, a prospective member of Team France for the upcoming Eurobasket tournament, played 37 ACB and King’s Cup games in addition to 15 Euroleague games with Unicaja last year.

Calling his desire to get the extension with Unicaja “a priority,” Gomis went on to state that he was optimistic about other personnel moves the team had made in the off-season.
