BallinEurope Euro Trip: Travel Log (Day 2)

November 29, 2007
[Thursday 1:40 a.m.] Live from Malaga – Finally I found a way to have Internet here at my hotel room so that I can come back to the day we had in Spain today.

I started with Julien from Frankfurt/Hahn this afternoon with a slight delay but we arrived here in Malaga pretty on time. But you directly felt that there was a difference in climate as we came to Spain with our winter jackets. And it was about 15 degree Celsius here.

We found our hotel quickly and we got welcomed nicely with some thoughts from the receptionist about tonight’s game. Surprising to find a receptionist knowing something about basketball. This is not common for a Northern or Western European that I am.

The Arena here in Malaga is pretty nice. However, the press seats were just under roof of it so we had some trouble to distinguish clearly what happened on the court. There was a wireless connection available free of charge but it was not really stable so that my Live Blogging was kind of interrupted at several moments. I hope you could follow it somehow.

After the game, we looked to find something called a press conference but this seems not to happen here in Malaga. But they have a nice “rincon” in the arena where he had a couple of beers after the game with some of the fans of the team. Berni Rodriguez and German Gabriel joined too for several moments but that’s it.

Now we are back at the hotel and preparing the day of tomorrow where we will try to meet our favorite Euroleague blogger Adam Hess in Madrid and get some nice swim trunk stories from him.
