BiE makes the final of Blog of the Year

January 22, 2015

Fantastic news from 81 Towers, mythical home to BallinEurope. The site brought to you originally by Mr European Prospects himself Christophe Ney and Tomas Seitz, made famous by Os Davis, and run for the last 18 months by yours truly, has been nominated in the Blog/Blogger of the Year category at the Digital Media Awards. As you can see, we learnt of our nomination in the form of a cupcake. Edible news, maybe it’s the future.

We’ll find out if we have won on the night of 20 February. Getting to the final alone is great. Personally, I’m so grateful to all my predecessors in this gig, our man in Romania Andrei Britz, and our geek in chief Rob Munnelly. We could not do this without you, our readers, and the tremendous basketball blogger/journalist community that help us every day.

Finally, and most importantly, a big thanks to Pero Antic for not killing any of us in our sleep.

ABOUT
BallinEurope.com was founded in September 2007 by Christophe Ney (who now runs the excellent scouting-themed website European Prospects) and Tobias Seitz, both then bloggers for FIBA.com with over 10 years’ worth of experience in the professional basketball world each. The mission then was to “provide a very unique perspective of Basketball in and about Europe.”
