BallinEurope has an editor

April 28, 2008

Since we want to entertain and inform readers from all over the world, we want to present them perfectly written English articles. Unfortunately none of us is a native English speaker, so we have been looking around for people who want to work with us to make sure we don’t put our European notes in our vocabulary and grammar as well.

Starting in April 08, BallinEurope is working with Os Davis, who “is an expatriated Albuquerquean sportswriter/editor in Budapest who preaches the gospel of American games on sites like RealFootball365.com and ProBasketballNews.com.”

Thanks Os, for helping us out – and finally we make the transition from Ken lee to Can’t live. What I am talking about? Well, see for yourself – this is what Ballineurope probably looked like to some native English speakers:

Awwww, you guys are (sniff) just (sniffle sniffle) THE BEST, REALLY! (Great gushing cries.)

Seriously, thanks for the props. I’ll do my best for the team, as much in the background as possible. Call me the Lamar Odom of BallinEurope.

    Cheers,

    Os.

I’ve been a huge fan of your site… but… I gotta’ admit I burst out laughing when watching the American Idol clip. You guys do some great stuff but having another person edit your stuff will help improve the quality. Great job picking up Os!

Bulgarian friends showed me that clip some time ago, its hilaaarious.
There is also a rapping gipsy from that show who is even better.
Anyway, Os is doing his thing also at eurobasket.com , and I bet I could use some corrections as well 🙂

ABOUT
BallinEurope.com was founded in September 2007 by Christophe Ney (who now runs the excellent scouting-themed website European Prospects) and Tobias Seitz, both then bloggers for FIBA.com with over 10 years’ worth of experience in the professional basketball world each. The mission then was to “provide a very unique perspective of Basketball in and about Europe.”
