European Impact on Picks and Predictions for 2015-16 NBA Season

October 27, 2015

2015-16 will be a huge season for European players in the National Basketball Association. Across the map there are new players ready to make an impact and primed stars awaiting their chance in the spot light. For some, it’s a ways off. However, for a few there’s a real opportunity this year to help take their teams to the next level.

SPORTSBOOKS DECLARE EARLY NBA FINALS FAVORITES

San Antonio Spurs (The Favorite)

The team added LaMarcus Aldridge and David West this past offseason to give their veteran core a much-needed boost. Tim Duncan is now 39, Manu Ginobili is 38 and Belgian born Tony Parker is 33. The team is aging fast but thanks to a big offseason, their core has been reignited. TopBet, Bovada, and all other oddsmakers found at this sportsbook reviews resource all favor the Spurs to take the title in light of their recent facelift.

Oklahoma City Thunder (The Contender)

Another heavy hitter to look out for will be the Oklahoma City Thunder. The team is entering the new season with a healthy lineup and a resigned Enes Kanter. The Swiss center has had an excellent preseason so far averaging 23 minutes a night with nearly a double double a game. Though Kanter is slated as the number two center behind Steven Adams, many are calling him an early favorite for the league’s Sixth Man Award.

Toronto Raptors (The Sleeper)

After locking up their division early, the Raptors had a horrible postseason. They were swept by the Washington Wizards and had very few silver linings. One guy that stood out though was Jonas Valanciunas. The Lithuanian stepped up in the clutch despite his team’s early knockout. With more support around him this year (DeMarre Carroll, Anthony Joseph and Anthony Bennett) look for the big man to have an even bigger impact.
