Fearless prediction: The ACB finals

June 10, 2010

All right, with 90 minutes or so left ’til tipoff, BallinEurope has just about enough time to get this one in.

Without too much (okay, no further) analysis, BiE will say FC Barcelona in three games *but* each win will be decided by seven or fewer points as Caja Laboral Baskonia does their damnedest though not enough.

(We are talking about one of the most dominant single-season European clubs of the past 10 years and surely already the prospective favorite to repeat the quadruple crown in 2010-11, after all.)

The MVP award will go to Juan Carlos Navarro, who continues to be smokin’ red hot, a condition he’s been in since about, oh, the Copa del Rey tournament, i.e. clutch time. A close second will be — c’mon, you know what’s coming here — Ricky Rubio.

¡Enjoy the ACB championship, everyone!

(P.S. On the other side of the pond, the Boston Celtics take game four, 92-88.)
