FC Barcelona vs. Los Angeles Lakers: The Rubio Photo Collection

October 9, 2010

“So what if Ricky went 0-for-5 plus four turnovers and zero steals against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night?” Señor Rubio’s official website seems to be saying. “He looked good doing it.”

(Well, except for in that last shot of his virtual photo album, when he’s on the wrong end of a Pau Gasol-Steve Blake pick-and-roll.)

I might turn out to be wrong, but I just don’t get the whole hype about Rubio. He has done nothing to deserve it. Teodosic is as least as good a playmaker and a much better scorer and leader.

Rubio is one of the worst point guards in the Euroleague. He’s also by far and away the worst player on Barca and easily (I mean by a county mile) the worst starting point guard in the Euroleague.
