Message from Zalgiris Kaunas fans after national anthem rendition

December 29, 2011

BallinEurope got this note posted in comments on the recently-run piece regarding Žalgiris Kaunas fans raucously singing the national anthem prior to games in response to a Euroleague ruling for 2011-12 which bans formal performance of anthems.

Ran the comment: “BallinEurope, you can update your article with the pic i posted: Žalgiris fans showing this during, after anthem.”

Well, yes. BiE will do that.

Simply awesome. I have never had a chance to go to Europe, but if I did, seeing a basketball game in Lithuania would have to be near the top of my list of things to do.

I got to see a few games in Lithuania for Eurobasket and its an amazing place to watch the game. I see no problem with national anthems especially for Lithuania where it means so much for obvious reasons.
