Monday's cigarettes

May 19, 2008

The playoffs have begun and there are already big surprises in various European leagues.

  • DKV Joventut blocks 12 shots in their first playoff game.
  • For all the US citizens that will watch the Euroleague via ESPN360 next season, here are the Top10 plays of the year from the best basketball league in Europe.
  • Somebody uploaded one of the best dunks I can remember: Danilovic over Sabonis.
  • Euroleague coaches are featured in Men’s health magazine.
  • For all the people that have doubts about Marc Gasol’s defense, check this out.
  • Zalgiris wins the Lithuanian championship. So everything is done and it is time for DJ Collins to go home.
  • And here are the Top 10 plays of April in the French League.
  • An interesting interview with Boniface “Bonny” N’Dong.
  • Olympic qualifying ticket sales have started. You can buy them here.
  • After the already-famous ACB-TV, the Italian League has started its own LegabasketTV. Unfortunately, you can not embed or link to videos as you have to register (for free) to check the videos. You can for example see a fantastic farewell video for Italian legend Gianmarco Pozzecco, who played the last game of his career this week.
