Olympics Live: Argentina vs. Lithuania, USA vs. Spain

August 23, 2008

If Manu Ginobili is out (because of his ankle injury against Team USA), Lithuania is the favorite in this game and will once again go home with the bronze medal from the Olympics. (Broadcast starts with the 2nd half!)

The Gold Medal game will feature the current World Champion Spain and the Gasol brothers against the USA Redeem Team that wants to get back the Gold Medal they lost in 2004 against Argentina.

Unbelievable. The gold medal game further confirms the shitty quality of European basketball. I mean, that has to be one of the worst performances I’ve ever seen out of Team USA. They go crazy on offense, but their defense is totally absent. They were just letting the Spanish shoot the ball whenever they wanted. Now, if Spain, which I think played the best game it has ever played, can’t beat Team USA when they aren’t even bothering with any defense, then yes, European basketball truly does SUCK. That’s right Europe: even when you play your best and we play our worst, Team USA still comes out NUMBER ONE! And don’t you forget it!

Do you really think that Spain played his best ???

Do you really think USA played so bad???

Today for the first time in my live, i saw fear in the USA players eyes… They earn the ten times the money the spanish do, they are stars in his country…. But today they had fear… jajjajaja THE BEST PLAYERS….jajajajaja (because the previous selections of the nba players really sucked).

FOR ME THIS IS THE CONFIRMATION. EUROPEAN BASKET IS GETTING CLOSERRRRRR

    START PRAYINGGGGG

A great game by Spain, probably their best ever. A mediocre game by USA, their worst in the tournament. The result? An easy win.

This tournament proved that an organized mature US team has no competition. International basketball has improved a lot but we still are some light years away.

    Good job!

Spanish team played a GREAT game- the gold could easily have gone to Spain.
Kobe is MVP on my book; he came through in the crunch.

However, Is it just me, or did the referees appear to favor the US team?
Did NBA provide the referees for the final game too? 😉

Being objective and if you can watch the movie of the final carefully, USA won a cause of referees, men, people were booing till even Koby had to shut up them…, the same people that was with you all the olimpic USA matches.., still couldn´t caught ??. Clearly, Spain is the best team in the world now, cry cos you are not now the best as in the past…Argentina, the same, 3 fouls Ginovilli and Raul Lopez at first quarter??? how fear did you have isn´t??
