Podcast: Kamil Novak and Turgay Demirel speak to BiE’s new show

June 13, 2016

Our new podcast begins with a bang as two of European basketball’s biggest power brokers came to Dublin to speak with BiE

BallinEurope enters the world of podcasting, or rather re-enters given our numerous collaborations over the years, with The Creatively Titled Basketball Show (CTBS).

Hosted by BiE editor Emmet Ryan, the first episode has two big players in the world of basketball speaking to us about the future of the sport in Europe. First up FIBA Europe general secretary Kamil Novak discusses the ongoing civil war between his organisation and Euroleague, then FIBA Europe president Turgay Demirel talks about the future of international competitions.

Both men were in Dublin for the FIBA Europe general assembly and that backdrop makes for an interesting discussion. There’s lots to get through and Emmet also talks about the plans for this podcast going forward.

New episodes of the CTBS will hit iTunes first and you can subscribe to it on iTunes here or through any other podcast subscription service for Android (I’m a big fan of Podcast Addict) to get episodes as soon as they drop.

We will post the iTunes links with each episode on the site along with the Soundcloud post as well. Speaking of which, you can check it out on Soundcloud right here…
