Rudy Fernandez flop set to go viral?

August 14, 2012

In hopes that the Rudy Fernandez flop in the Spain vs. USA gold-medal game goes viral, here’s a soon-to-be-meme of ol’ Rudy demonstrating his skills in the video game medium courtesy Ali Traore. Brilliant stuff.

And for comparison’s sake, here’s the actual melodramatic-unto-artistic flop itself, which as Beckley Mason of ESPN TrueHoop notes “was worthwhile for Fernandez and Spain. By drawing an intentional, rather than a common foul, Fernandez converted a loose ball into two free throws and possession…” Not to mention inducing several million heart attacks among the USA faithful.

No end to Gabe’s LIES and BULLSHIT here.

Gabe: “Nigeria had one NBA player and 11 college and D-League players”.

Actually, zero college players, zero D-League players.

4 guys that were in the NBA, and Oguchi will make 5, as NBA teams are offering him contracts.

    Obasohan played in Eurocup/Spanish League.

    Archibong played in Euroleague/Eurocup.

    Oyedeji played in NBA/Euroleague/Spanish League.

    Oguchi – heading to NBA.

    Diogu – NBA player

    Al-Farouk Aminu – NBA player.

Skinn – moved to a Eurocup team.

Dagunduro – moved to the Italian League.

Ugboaja – NBA draft pick (spent half a year with the Cavs in the NBA)

Alade Aminu – Will play in Euroleague this year.

I love how a team comprised of 5 guys that played in NBA, 3 guys that played in the Euroleague………….is a “team of 1 NBA player and 11 scrubs from college and D-League”)

More and more of Gabe’s lies are exposed every time I check his claims here.

At the time Nigeria had only one player currently in the NBA. Many of the others had played in college and the D-league.

Gabe, you sound like a real dumb ass calling Nigeria’s team a D-League team when had 5 guys that will have played in the NBA, with several others having played in leagues like Spanish League, Euroleague, Eurocup.

Just admit that you were trolling. Be a man for once, if you are even capable of it.

You didn’t even see my original post. I basically showed how all except one of Nigeria’s players, at that time, were neither in the NBA or Euroleague. I pointed out that most of the team played high school and college ball in the states. I did that to show that many of them would have gone to the NBA if they were able to.

BTW Chandler did not play in college either

BTW, almost every member of Team USA (sans Kobe, LeBron) played college basketball. So, using your warped and demented logic, Team USA was comprised of 10 college players.

Nigerian national team centers Ike Diogu and Akin Akingbala (did not play at the Olympics, but played in the Euroleague last year)…….

were both offered to Greek league club Panathinaikos by their agents.

Panathinaikos denied signing either of them citing, “they are not up the standards of our club”.

Gabe and mike were wrong YET AGAIN. FIBA denied the request of Mark Cuban and David Stern to make the Olympics under-23, and also denied their request to place the FIBA World Cup under NBA control and ownership.

Also, the FIBA World Cup will officially become FIBA’s world basketball flagship and showcase, with the Olympics officially taking second in importance.

Finally, the court size and 3 point distance will be the same as in the NBA – evidently they felt sorry for Stern and Cuban, so they threw those dogs a little bone.
