Team of heroes – NIKE goes Europe

February 29, 2008

Nike team of heroesThe last 30 minutes or so I have been sitting here with an open mouth, not really knowing if I should believe what my eyes see. It is all about Maccabi Tel Aviv. Yes they won last night without Marcus Fizer but that is not the reason why I am still stunned. I mean I am happy for them, don’t get me wrong.

So what stunned me the last 30 minutes? Nike’s effort to go BIG in European basketball – and the way they do it. What you are about to see is more expected to be done by people like Micheal Jordan or Lebron James – well they have done things like that but we are talking about EUROPE – not exactly the place to be for companies like adidas or nike to spend a lot of money.

Things must have changed I guess – watch this:

So here they are the Nike Team of heroes! Nikola Vujcic, Marcus Fizer, Derek Sharp, Yotam Halperin and the rest of the Maccabi Tel Aviv squad. If you want to check out more stuff like that – get stunned like I did and go to this nike web site! Great stuff!

If you want to get a big laugh – make sure you check out the site of the company that created this great basketball clip – the box.

Yeah they’re going to sell maccabi gear and the official maccabi “LeBron James” shoe at their website. Maccabi is good but CSKA is even better and I wonder what their NIKE promotion will look like.
