The next NBA star in Europe! Maybe…

October 6, 2007

Did you know that Drew Gooden was half-finnish? So he could play as Bosman A in Europe and there will probably be offers from potential financial teams. In fact, Drew was born of a Californian Dad and a Finnish mother while his father was playing professional basketball in Europe.

This story was revealed during a recent Interview of Drew Gooden with ESPN. Even in Finland, this story was not really know at the moment. But as my friend Hippo reported, Drew is really thinking of playing one day for the Finnish NT. Up in the North, they dream already about a starting 5 with Gooden, Möttölä, Rannikko, Koponen, Kotti and Huff.

As you may know, the Finnish NT crashed Romania in the decisive game to move up to Division A. So we will see how they will handle their new opponents in the upcoming Qualifying rounds.
