Video review of the week

February 23, 2008

Here we have a short review of the week with some nice clips featuring the best plays and quotes of the last seven days. We had some discussions already about Jonas Maciulis getting ejected against Maccabi. After having seen the play, I can not really understand why he got that call. But up to you to judge.

The Mirza Delibasic Arena of Bosna Sarajevo has always been reported as being one of the toughest to play in Europe. Now I know why.

We know also that DeJuan Collins, a.k.a. DC, is having some very special pre game rituals. Now this week, this seemed to have changed as Marcus Brown recognized in the stats.

Gordon Herbert had not that much to laugh after his team’s defeat against Lietuvos Rytas. But giving a baseball comparison to the journalists in Europe is probably not understood by everybody.

Coming to the beautiful side of basketball with the Top10 plays from last week in the Euroleague.

The Jonas Maciulis punch of love at Omri Casspi is the best example of Casspi’s biggest weakness. Omri Casspi should of anticipated the punch and blocked it but he can’t anticipate because he doesn’t know how to manage the game. I really believe at his age he’s as talented as many of the best basketball players in the world were at the same age but the difference was they knew how to manage a game. It will take time but you can teach how to manage a game by several ways like learning business management and chess strategies and as ridiculous as it sound sometimes something completely different can make you better at basketball or whatever else.
