Viggiano arrives in Milano, Euroleague (finally)

July 20, 2009

U. Mass graduate Jeffrey Viggiano has ascended to the Euroleague after three seasons in lower leagues on The Continent, as Armani Jeans Milano officially announced his signing to a two-year deal today. After his senior season in Massachusetts, Viggiano embarked on a European career which has taken him to teams in Sweden and Hungary before last year’s turn with Pallacanestro Pavia in Italy’s second division.

And what else can BallinEurope add, except maybe “Throw it down, Big Man”?

(Euroleague.net) – Armani Jeans Milano agreed to terms of a contract with forward Jeffrey Viggiano, who inked a two-year deal with his new club on Sunday. Viggiano (194 cm, 23 years old) shined in the Italian second division last season, averaging 14.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.3 steals in 34 games with Pallacanestro Pavia. He has also played for Soproni Sördögök in Hungary and Norrkoping Dolphins in Sweden since finishing his college career at University of Massachusets, where Viggiano became the team captain as a senior in the 2005-06 season. Viggiano is now taking his athleticism to Milano.
