Who will make it to the playoffs this NBA season?

December 26, 2016

This season in the NBA can be seen as a bit of contrast compared to last years. Golden State has shown they aren’t invincible as they were last season, clocking three loses already. Despite the negative three though, the Warriors have still shown that lethal form once again with Steph Curry presenting why he’s one of the top dogs in the business. From one champion to another, The Cav’s are ranking top in the eastern conference with a 15-5 record thus far. Lebron and co have continued their fine form from the previous playoffs, however, the only negative that can be regarded with this team is their defending, which at times looks too shaky. Other than your usual two, we have seen a number of teams produce some magnificent results, which begs the question- will there be an upset at this year’s playoffs

The favourites

For me, there are four clear favourites from both divisions; obviously you’ll be stupid not to put the Cav’s and Warriors in the picture, but who else?

Western Conference:

Well at the moment, I really like the look of the Houston Rockets. Yes, I know they’re 15-7 but they are playing some really good basketball and James Harden aka ‘fear the beard’ has been magnificent for them so far. They have been unlucky in some of their defeats, but if they keep grinding out the results, then maybe, I’d go as far as putting them down as the dark horse’s to win the entire championships. The San Antonio Spurs should definitely reach the playoffs and challenge for the championship. Their team leaders Kawhi Leonard, Paul Gasol and Tony Parker are bullying teams at the moment, so they should make the playoffs without question. I know they’re currently sixth, but you can’t disregard the Oklahoma Thunder. Their team is spoilt with talent and their talisman Russel Westbrook can be one of the best in the division. They were unlucky last season for not making the final but hopefully they can put that behind them and challenge once more.

Eastern Conference:

The Raptors should be in the playoff once again.  They have the second best record in their conference and DeMar Derozan is on fire at the moment, so I wouldn’t be surprised seeing them up there like they were last season. I think the Celtic’s will make it there, despite the poor performances in previous seasons; they are now starting to look like a solid team and are showing some unique swagger. Isaiah Thomas is hitting fine form with a 26.0 points record. If he keeps on firing for them, they might finally be back in the prime time. Lastly, I am going with the Bulls, I know there are teams ahead of them in the standings, but look how they dismantled the Cav’s, if they can produce that sort of effort against the rest of the conference, then no doubt, they should be in the playoff picture.

Agree with my predictions or do you think you know better? If it’s the latter part then why don’t you go on the www.bestdealcasinos.com and find the casino that suits you. Once you have done that, let’s see if you can predict this year’s playoff picture or go even further with thee actual 2016/2017 NBA champion.
