Why blogging (even in Europe) gets respect

December 8, 2007

The big newspapers don’t like bloggers – well maybe they do like them but don’t respect them. Aren’t we just crazy hardcore fans that write down their thoughts in a crazy way?

Well this is the impression I got so far – most of the time. Slowly but surely even bloggers like us get some respect – we get mentioned in basketball magazines like FIVE or BASKET, get featured on Eurosport and even have the chance to tell the crowd of the "magazine of magazines" SLAM(online) what is going on in Europe (thanks Matt). But aren’t these magazines "the people’s champ" anyway? What about the real deal like the Euroleague itself? Well, they even made their own video of a blogger:

It is very rare to see a video of a Euroleague American player that says so many interesting things that I totally agree. It makes everybody understand what is going on in a players mind: " Where am I gonna play next year?" At least when you play on a team like Roanne. But Adam Hess learned his lesson and just wants to win games – Adam, we like you and not only for being one of us ;).
