Zeljko Obradovic stays in Athens for two more years

panathiniakos Athens Messina will stay in Moscow and Obradovic will stay in Athens. Those are the facts starting today. Nobody would have thought that Messina and Obradovic will stay with their clubs, big newspapers even wrote they knew about new contracts and the terms already.

Panathinaikos’ president Pavlos Giannakopoulos had only this to say: “Zeljko Obradovic, the best coach in Europe, will be in our team for two more years.”

Of course he thinks that Obradovic is the best coach or he would have hired another coach, but I am sure many people do not agree with Obradovic, being the best European coach – right Ettore?

The interesting thing about these signings – both have been announced on the same day – the day of the Euroleague Final Four Final.

Put big O’s body of work on paper and admire.

Who gives a F really?
Is Popovich better than Phil Jackson?
When you are at the level of these four gentlemen, it really means very little.
They are the best at what the do.
Phil has more rings than Pop but is he a better coach?
That’s idiotic.

Since 2000 when obradovich signed to panathinaikos has won in 8 seasons:7championships,,5cups and 4 euroleagues..So now you can understand why panathinaikos’ president says that he is the best..
