Manager: Iverson won’t retire, hopes to return to Beşiktaş for TBL playoffs

January 13, 2011

Well, that’s a relief. Via the Associated Press, Allen Iverson’s manager Gary Moore has stated that rumours of his client’s retirement due to a leg injury are utterly premature: “Moore said Iverson ‘totally disputes’ reports out of Turkey that he was set to retire,” thereby slamming the brakes on a wide range of rampant speculation.

Even better, according to Moore, is that “the doctors tell [Iverson] he’ll be out four to six weeks. He’s hoping to be able to play in the playoffs.”

Hoping Allen Iverson makes a speedy recovery. Love watching that guy play.
