BiE shortlisted for two awards

September 19, 2014

It’s been a pretty fantastic few weeks for the site. First our Mason Plumlee video took off, then the site got a new look (which we’re still tweaking), then we past the 5k follower mark on Twitter, and today we got news of not one but two big award nominations for our work this year.

First off, this morning the quarter finalists for the Irish Web Awards were announced. BiE made the cut in the Daily Online Publication category and is in the final 14 for this prestigious honour, up against sites with a hell of a lot more budget and staff.

Then after lunch came the second bit of good news. BallinEurope has made the final in the Sport and Recreation category of the Irish Blog Awards and the news is doubly good as our sister site, Action81.com, also made the final cut.

None of this would be possible without the tremendous support we receive from you guys. Thank you so much for reading our posts, watching our videos, sharing your thoughts, and telling your friends.
