Euroleague LIVE: What to watch

October 31, 2007

This might be a busy week if you are into the Euroleague and the NBA. I tried to program my SKY last night for all the games that are available and I am having a problem – I can’t watch all the games that I would want to watch.

A must for tonight is the CSKA Moscow vs. Montepaschi Siena game. Both teams haven’t lost a game in their domestic leagues and won all of their games pretty impressive. While Siena won its first Euroleague game by almost 30 points against Union Olimpija, CSKA won by 20 points against Prokom Trefl. Sounds like a game you don’t want to miss right? It is also the meeting of Lithuanians Rimantas Kaukenas (Siena) and Ramunas Siskauskas (CSKA) who had both impressive games in the first round.

Pretty predictable might be the games between Panathinaikos and Bamberg as well as the game between Efes Pilsen and Armani Jeans Milano. I sure nobody really expects Bamberg and Milano to win these games.

Cibona might get some votes to win against Unicaja since they beat Efes Pilsen last week but if you have seen my prediction for Cibona there is no way that they will win this game..

Zalgiris against Prokom Trefl might be interesting to watch. It is not a big game like CSKA and Siena but I am sure this will be a good game since I think both teams play on the same level with a slight advantage for Prokom.

If you want to see how Euroleague blogger Adam Hess is doing and if he is doing his job on the court as well as he does his blogging job watch his team Chorale Roanne vs. Partizan Igokea. I think our preview journalist David Hein predicted that Partizan will “kill” Roanne. This should be enough of a reason to watch this game right? He was already right by predicting that Roanne wins against Bamberg – so watch out for his predictions if you want to bet on games..

I also set up my SKY to “auto view” the Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Dallas Mavericks. Thanks to the time change in Europe the game will be seen at 1am instead of 2am (The United States change their time on November 4th, while Europe did it last Sunday).
Besides that reason it might be interesting what Dallas does to their jersey problem after signing Juan Howard last night. As Henry Abbott tells it there is a problem:

This is going to create one of those uniform nightmares with Josh Howard. Are they both just “Howard?” Sometimes teams will make one “J. Howard” and let the other one be “Howard?” Can we squeeze entire first names on there too?

Busy times for Basketball fans started I guess!
