FIRST PERSON: FOLLOW THE FIBA WORLD CUP THROUGH BIE’S EYES

August 23, 2014

BallinEurope editor Emmet Ryan is going to give followers of the FIBA World Cup of Basketball a different view when he gets to Spain. With the Epson Moverio BT 200 Smart Glasses, Emmet will record short videos to give BiE’s fans a look at what we’re seeing in Spain.

Here’s a taster of what it’s like to view life through theses glasses.

Let’s not dance around the issue, those things look utterly ridiculous on my face and some of the other features make it even worse, actually much worse, but it’s totally worth it. We’re going to do 20 second videos with these and longer form with my assortment of camera phones. Oh and yes, you’re right, it is handy that my day job is editing the technology section of a national newspaper.

And just in case you’re wondering, no we won’t have any game highlights through the specs because that would be all kinds of out of bounds.
